Please mark your calendars: The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a Section 106 meeting on the historic John G. Lewis bridge at the Old School in Waterford from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26. The school is at 40222 Fairfax Street, Waterford, Virginia (just off Route 665 in the village).

VDOT will be on hand to discuss the status of the bridge project. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The meeting will inform interested parties of the Section 106 process and present a variety of options for moving forward with the project.
