This page is designed for organizations and the general public to review the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite (ZOR) and Zoning Ordinance Amendments (ZOAMs) that impact all districts throughout Loudoun County. In an effort to improve transparency, this page provides information and key documents containing input from residents and organizations county-wide. Project management and information gathering is directed by Walsh-Copeland Consulting LLC, with shared input hosted by LCPCC for facilitated public access in a public-friendly format. PLANNING COMMISSION FALL 2022 ACTIVITIES. The Planning Commission is reviewing the August 8 Staff Draft Text through a series of work sessions beginning October 11, 2022. Each work session agenda contains staff reports for each chapter or section, along with questions for Planning Commission votes.
Although the PC work sessions do not allow verbal public input, groups and individuals can email the Planning Commission to reinforce key points provided through the ZOR public input process.

Per the DPZ Workplan, the second Planning Commission Public Hearing originally tentative for early December now indicates “December 2022/January 2023“
A consolidate summary of ZOR ORGANIZATIONS INPUT PRIORITIES has been prepared to assist all organizations and individuals prepare and support each other in public hearing comments.

Many thanks to all the organizations and individuals across the county who have submitted from a few to hundreds of comments for the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite (ZOR).
The Shared Comments “white papers” submitted to the County are posted below for facilitated public access. These Shared Comments white papers highlight the key themes and issues across many communities of interest— from neighbors, organizations and advisory boards — with recommendations and justifications for changes in the second ZOR draft text.
