Project-Based Learning (PBL) is one means of engaging students in "One to the World" work that is a key focus of Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). Teachers design and implement standards-based projects that engage students in solving authentic problems and creating products, performances, services, and exhibitions of work relating to their solutions. "One to the World" is an instructional initiative that addresses what an LCPS graduate should know and be able to do.
All PBL Projects are designed to be a "Public Product" - Students make their project work public by explaining, displaying and/or presenting it to people beyond the classroom. Coalition Members are encouraged to become involved with these initiatives by suggesting Projects, in the format below that LCPS Staff can use in their classrooms, and benefit the organization and greater community of Loudoun.
